The Process in Detail

Account Setup and Preparation

SendAfterMe begins with you creating a secure account and preparing your digital legacy. After purchasing one of our plans—Basic, Standard, or Premium—you add recipients and upload your content, such as messages, videos, or documents, specifying delivery dates. This ensures your wishes are set and ready for execution.

Verification of Passing

To ensure your messages are delivered only after your passing, we implement a thorough and discreet verification process. Every three months, we send you an email asking, "Are you still with us?" A simple "Yes" response maintains your account's active status. If no reply is received, we initiate monthly follow-ups for up to six months. After five months of silence, we issue a notification that delivery will soon activate unless we hear otherwise. If you've designated trusted individuals, they are contacted after six months to confirm your passing. In the absence of trusted contacts, we sequentially reach out to recipients on your list: starting with the first recipient via a sensitive inquiry. If no response is received within one week, we contact the second recipient, then the third, and so forth, until a reply is obtained. Should no one on your list respond, the system activates delivery 30 days after the final inquiry. However, if any contact confirms you are still alive, your account is suspended, halting all scheduled deliveries. The account then remains inactive for up to 12 months, during which you may log in to reactivate it. If no action is taken, the account is permanently deleted after this period, ensuring your privacy and intent are respected.

Delivery of Messages and Assets

Upon confirmation of your passing, SendAfterMe activates your account and delivers your messages and assets as scheduled. Emails, videos, photos, or documents are sent to your recipients on the specified dates—whether it's a birthday, anniversary, or other milestone. Multimedia content is provided via secure streaming or download links. If you've opted for a Flower Greeting, a bouquet is coordinated with a trusted third-party provider for physical delivery alongside your digital message.

Data Deletion and Account Closure

We prioritize your privacy and security. Once a message or asset is delivered, it remains securely stored until all associated deliveries are complete. Videos, images, and files attached to emails can be streamed or downloaded by recipients as needed. To ensure your data is not retained indefinitely, each file is permanently deleted from our system 12 months after the message it is attached to has been sent, unless the same file is linked to another scheduled message with a later delivery date. After the final message is delivered, your account remains active for an additional 30 days to confirm completion. Following this period, your entire account—including all remaining data—is securely and permanently erased from our servers, leaving no trace and safeguarding your legacy's confidentiality.
